ProLogis is a self-administered and self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT) that operates a global network of real estate properties, primarily industrial distribution properties. The Company’s business is organized into three business segments: property operations, investment management and development or CDFS business. Its property operations segment represents the direct long-term ownership of distribution and retail properties. Its investment management segment represents the long-term investment management of property funds and the properties they own. The CDFS business segment primarily encompasses the Company’s development or acquisition of real estate properties that are subsequently contributed to a property fund, in which the Company has an ownership interest and act as manager, or sold to third parties.
