Pacer Health Corporation (Pacer) is a diversified holding company with subsidiaries operating in the healthcare services and transportation/logistics services. The Company’s operations are organized into two segments: medical services and non-medical services. The medical services business provides healthcare services with a primary focus on acquiring and restructuring hospitals. At December 31, 2007, Pacer operated three acute care hospitals, one geriatric psychiatric hospital and one rural health clinic. Its hospitals are geographically diversified across three states: Georgia, Kentucky and Louisiana. The non-medical services business provides transportation/logistics services for customers including warehousing and freight brokerage services.
