Description
KBT, Inc. was started in November of 1978 by the Kirk family as an extension of Kirk NationaLease. The Kirk family actively operated the business until 1985 when two company executives, Lloyd Schroer and Jim Harvey, purchased both companies.

In 1985 the company was purchased by Lloyd Schroer and Jim Harvey and in 1996, Mr. Schroer became sole owner of the company. He continues as the CEO for the company. Jeff Phlipot was named president in 2004.

Today KBT, Inc. has approximately 150 units in its' fleet and is continuing to grow. Our services include general freight hauling, a brokerage division, an expedites division and many dedicated carriage contracts. Some of the dedicated carriage contracts include on-site dispatch facilities.

KBT, Inc. employs 25 office and sales personnel at our locations in Sidney OH, Plymouth IN, Stuarts Draft VA, Covington KY, Denison TX and Lincolnton NC.
