Description
The Northeastern Maryland Technology Council (NMTC) was formed in 1991 to promote technology in Harford and Cecil Counties and has steadily evolved, where today, we are a powerful advocate for the region. NMTC's Board works to establish and maintain a collaborative environment for economic development by encouraging technology exchange that enhances the regions business, education, and government communities. Today, NMTC's initiatives include educational interface, relationship with Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), employer programs, legislative issues, and further development of the HEAT Center as a technology base. NMTC's close relationship with APG, the strategic location of Harford and Cecil Counties to our country's major university research and government agencies and the growth of the area in welcoming new technology sectors due to the BRAC initiatives, offer an excellent opportunity to promote regional technology development and your business. NMTC works closely with APG's Science and Technology Board, a gateway to APG's technology resources and applied technology base. The Board facilitates technology transfer opportunities that utilize defense-related innovation for commercial use, and works with the APG Business Development Office which is a liaison to more than 62 tenants at APG. A wide variety of specialized facilities are available for public/private use at APG to include the Process Engineering Facility for molecular, biological and bio-process engineering, the world renowned Rodman Materials Lab, and the automotive test facilities. Our strength is in our membership and we look forward to your joining us. Together we can enhance our technology opportunities not only for the Counties but for our businesses.
