Metro2000, a G4 Communications Company, began operation as a BBS (Bulletin Board Service) in 1993 under the name Global Information Systems. By 1996, Metro2000 began offering dial-up access in Manchester, NH. Adapting to industry changes at the time, Metro2000 began offering additional high-speed access.
