MEDTOX Scientific, Inc. (MEDTOX) provides forensic and clinical laboratory services through its wholly owned subsidiary MEDTOX Laboratories, Inc., and manufactures and distributes diagnostic devices and other similar products through its wholly owned subsidiary MEDTOX Diagnostics, Inc. The Company has two reportable segments: Laboratory Services, which consists of the activities conducted by MEDTOX Laboratories and New Brighton Business Center LLC (NBBC); and Product Sales, conducted by MEDTOX Diagnostic. Laboratory Services include: forensic toxicology, clinical toxicology, clinical testing for the pharmaceutical industry (central laboratory services, bioanalytical and pharmacokinetic testing), clinical testing for occupational health clinics and analysis of heavy and trace metals. The Product Sales segment includes sales of a variety of on-site drug screening products and contract manufacturing.
