MacNeal offers Chemical Dependency educational service for people in need of education or early intervention for people showing early signs and symptoms of alcohol/drug abuse or individuals who have tested positive under DOT (Department of Transportation) and are being referred by an SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) for education.

Education is provided in the forms of lecture and group activities. Topics covered include but are not limited to:


The program cost is $363.00 for 6 sessions and $726 for 12 sessions. Additional costs for random alcohol/drug screens are the patient's responsibility. A deposit of 50% of the program cost is due at the start of the program. A financial counselor is available to discuss payment options.

MacNeal Hospital offers Alcohol and chemical dependency outpatient and other addiction recovery services to help.
