Invensys PLC is a global technology and controls company that focuses on industrial automation, rail transportation and controls. Operating in more than 60 countries worldwide, it caters to a range of industries, which include oil and gas, power and utilities, chemicals and rail systems, healthcare, data communications, and discrete and hybrid manufacturing sectors. Its customers include ExxonMobil, BP, Electrolux and Bombardier. It operates in four segments: Process Systems, Eurotherm, Rail Group and Controls. Effective December 31, 2007, the Company sold APV to SPX Corporation, and Firex Safety Division to UTC. In August 2008, the Company announced that its Wonderware business unit acquired SAT Corporation.
