First Student began from the acquisition of Ryder Student Transportation, several other large busing companies and (more recently) our acquisition of Laidlaw Education Services.

FirstGroup, plc was incorporated in 1995 from the merger of two British bus companies, Badgerline Group and Grampian Regional Transport a company that has operated bus lines in the United Kingdom for more than 100 years.
