The Coastal Plain League is a summer college baseball league that began play in 1997. Providing top-notch instruction and playing conditions, the CPL offers a premier developmental environment for college players hoping to hone their skills and display their talents during the summer. Playing exclusively in the Carolinas and Virginia, the league utilizes several former minor league stadiums as well as first-class municipal facilities in the following cities: Asheboro, N.C., Durham, N.C., Edenton, N.C., Fayetteville, N.C., Florence, S.C., Hampton, Va., Manteo, N.C., Petersburg, Va., Thomasville, N.C., Wilmington, N.C. and Wilson, N.C.
