The Pine Street Foundation's mission is to help people with cancer reach more informed treatment decisions through education and research. They analyze medical literature from around the globe and conduct innovative clinical trials, always emphasizing the highest standards of scientific integrity. They then publish the results in reputable medical journals, making important and informative information available to other researchers, practitioners and patients. We at Pharmacopia donate a percentage of our annual sales to The Pine Street Foundation.

The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics is a coalition of public health, educational, religious, labor, women's, environmental and consumer groups. We share in their goal to protect the health of consumers and workers by requiring the health and beauty industry to phase out the use of chemicals linked to cancer, birth defects and other health problems, and replace them with safer alternatives. Pharmacopia works closely with the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics and signed a pact with them in 2005.

PETA Business Friends is an innovative partnership for compassionate companies willing to assist in PETA's work to stop animal abuse and suffering. Since Pharmacopia is a vegan line which uses absolutely no animal products, Peta and us make a great match!

Nature's Weave partners with cooperatives and microenterprises run mostly by women, and ensures that the income earned by a weaver or sewer meets the minimum wage, if not more. The company's President, Lilibeth Aristorenas, is not only an entrepreneur, but a social worker who started with a career in the Philippine Government promoting livelihood assistance to the disadvantaged population in the Philippines. At Pharmacopia we use beautiful, hand woven grass baskets from Nature's Weave for our gift baskets, and wholeheartedly support fair trade.

Pharmacopia uses Xela Pack for our sample size products because they are leaders in waste reduction in their industry. The Xela Pack uses 93% less plastic than similar sized bottles and tubes, and the packages are fully collapsible, making for less leftover product, less space in landfills, and less packaging materials for shipping. Xela pack also assists its customers with recycling programs!

Pharmacopia also works with various companies in our area to reduce waste. We collect Styrofoam peanuts from our neighbors and re-use them to pack and ship Pharmacopia products. Without our efforts and the generosity of our neighbors, bags and bags of non-recyclable Styrofoam Peanuts would be thrown away everyday.
