Broward Marine was founded in 1948 by Frank Dennison on the site of the former Dooley's Basin & Dry Dock in South Florida, a major World War II builder of P boats for the United States Army. At its peak, Broward has completed over 335 yachts, earning its place as one of the leading yards building 80- to 157-foot yachts. Specializing in new construction as well as repairing and refitting, Broward pioneered the industry's megayacht design. Purchased in 2005 by Tom Lewis, the Broward franchise continues to implement the latest in visual design with elements that include sky lounges, country kitchens, and his-and-her master heads. Broward's push toward quality technology and safety has made SiMON monitoring, control and alarm systems a natural fit.
