Public Servant is the dynamic public sector national news magazine launched in May 2004 - with its own online news service Public Servant Daily - for senior civil servants, public sector leaders and key decision-makers.

Published monthly with ABC audited distribution, Public Servant provides in-depth news, analysis and opinion on the topics that matter to public sector business. It offers a challenging perspective on the latest approaches to more effective public services with coverage that spans policy and practice and the partnerships between public, private and third sectors.

This combines with the magazine's aim of connecting central government and local leadership, budget holders and service deliverers - and raising the level of debate across organisations. A fresh concept in public sector publishing from PSCA International, Public Servant addresses the priorities facing directors and senior managers in the public sector. It provides a unique stimulus to service providers, heads of commercial and voluntary sector agencies and local government.

Public Servant is widely acclaimed for bringing vision and clarity to complex issues. The work of features editor Alison Thomas has been recognised in the 2006 Management Writing Awards organised by the Management Consultancies Association and supported by Management Today. Alison won the best management interview/profile award.

Leading commentators such as BBC's John Pienaar and The Independent chief political writer Steve Richards have been followed by Colin Talbot, professor of public policy and management at Manchester Business School; Zenna Atkins, chairman of the Ofsted board, Portsmouth City Teaching Primary Care Trust and the Places for People Group; and Edward Welsh, the former Times journalist and now communications director at the Local Government Association. In the HR pages, Dr Ivan Robertson and Professor Cary Cooper - internationally renowned business psychologists - address the issues of leadership, organisation, productivity and motivation in Management Clinic. Consultant psychiatrist Tim Cantopher's writing for Public Servant on the mental health of public sector managers has been reproduced by the BBC and the national daily press.
