Lafarge Plasterboard was established in 1988 as a joint venture between Pioneer International and Lafarge Gypsum. In 1999, Lafarge took full ownership.

Today, we have production facilities in Melbourne (Altona) and Sydney (Matraville) with the capacity to supply in excess of 35 million square metres of plasterboard each year.

As a relatively recent player in our regional market, we have attracted over 230 employees from diverse backgrounds with extensive experience and skills.

Our employees bring fresh and contemporary ideas to the Australian Plasterboard industry, combined with an ongoing commitment to improving product and service performance.
