The Council On Aging, Silicon Valley is a public-benefit corporation responsible for planning, developing, funding and directly providing a range of health and social support services for this county's senior population. Examples of these services include comprehensive care management, in-home and adult day care services and both congregate and home delivered meals. All of COA services are designed to maintain the older individual in his or her own community and out of nursing homes. With an annual operating budget of approximately $11 million, COA contracts with a number of public and private organizations to provide these services.
