Joyful Tales was started in 2002 by Joy Bergman after DK Books discontinued their dealer program. Joy, a retired elementary school teacher and now stay-at-home mom, wanted to continue to offer wholesome and exciting children's books that would have a personal appeal and attraction to her friends and family. After a little digging around and talking to other people, she discovered Hefty Create-A-Books. The Create-A-Book program combines beautiful books with personalized stories that capture the hearts and imaginations of children of all ages. Joy's husband, Bruce, is an IT Manager at Home Depot Supply and operates a local Internet Service Provider, Fat City Hosting, in his spare time. He got involved to bring Joyful Tales to the Internet, create our e-commerce facility and expand our presence globally. He is also our webmaster. Joyful Tales is based in beautiful San Diego, California. We can be reached via a number of methods (listed to the left), however E-mail is usually the most effective route for non-urgent needs.
