Hospice of Charleston is dedicated to providing compassionate and supportive care for our patients. No hospice in this area has more experience than our staff and volunteers in offering comprehensive pain and symptom management to those with incurable illness and support to their loved ones. The type of care we provide improves the comfort, dignity and overall well-being of the patient. It provides a more humane alternative to the impersonal services available in the acute care rooms of hospitals.

We also strive to ease the burdens of those friends or family memebers caring for their loved one. Our staff and trained patient care volunteers offer emotional support and respite for the caregivers. They provide transportation, cook meals, interface with doctors and assist the patient and family as they deal with the reality of impending death.

Hospice of Charleston services include care for patients, caregivers, children and teens. Continued support is offered to family and friends following the death of a loved one. We sponsor several bereavement and support groups for anyone in the community who has experienced the death of a loved one.
