Kevin Sanford, Founder and President of Wireless First, began his audio career in 1987, although he had been immersed in television production since early childhood. His father is six time Emmy Award winning Video Engineer, Mark Sanford, and his entire family is involved in some aspect of the entertainment production industry. A musician at age 20, Kevin was hired as a delivery guy at Burns Audio, the premier source for sound rentals during 1980's and 1990's, located in Los Angeles, CA. Within a few years, Kevin realized his passion for sound technology and worked his way up to become Vice President of the company. At Burns, Kevin learned the art of maintaining client relationships and managing people while servicing NBC, CBS, ABC, HBO, both the 1988 & 1992 Democratic and Republican Conventions. Kevin soon became fascinated by wireless technology and the emerging wireless trend. In 1993, he left Burns Audio to pursue a career as a freelance wireless specialist.

In 1996, Kevin moved to the east coast and founded Wireless First, specializing in the niche market of wireless microphone and communication sales and rentals. The company began in his garage and quickly grew to become the leading source for production sound, system design, service and installation. Located in New York, Wireless First offers an extensive product line of wireless microphones, IFB, in-ear monitors, intercom, antenna Systems, and hard line intercom equipment. Under Kevin's direction, Wireless First has supported the most popular artists in the recording industry including The Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, Barbara Streisand, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross and Britney Spears. Since its inception, the company has led the frontiers of wireless product technology, satisfying both the artist and producer in providing the best service and quality in the industry.

Wireless First consistently achieves a reputation for the highest levels of expertise and service. During a live television event viewed by millions of viewers around the world, mistakes aren't an option. Wireless First is comprised of highly talented and experienced engineers dedicated to providing supreme customer service from conception to resolution. In 2005 alone, Kevin and his team provided the RF microphones, wired and wireless communications for the MTV Video Music Awards, The Country Music Awards, The NBA All Star Game, The NBA Draft, VH1 Hip Hop Honors, Live 8, The September 11th Commemoration, Survivor and The Apprentice Finales, Victoria Secret Fashion Show, Latin Video Music Awards and Nashville Star. When a client needs to run 42 channels of RF in the middle of Central Park or 50 mics on a stage in Times Square, Wireless First has the tools to ensure a flawless production.

In 2003, Kevin teamed up with video master, Tom Carroll, to create Elevation Video in response to rising client demand for one-stop production solutions. Elevation Video provides plasma screens, LCD's, LED walls, video monitors and teleprompters for rentals and sales nationwide.
