Weber State University is a four-year institution of higher education located in Ogden, Utah. The century-old university has a faculty of 442 persons on a 400-acre campus with 89 percent of the buildings constructed since 1960. Faculty and staff combined equal 1,683 persons. The university's marks of distinction are its undergraduate programs. WSU has more than 200 separate degree programs, the largest and most comprehensive undergraduate offering in Utah. WSU is large and complex enough to offer stimulating educational challenges, but small enough to care about the welfare of individual students. At WSU, quality undergraduate education is founded upon close associations between faculty and students: four out of five WSU courses have fewer than 30 students. The university is a leader in the field of Internet-based instruction and in economic development partnerships benefiting local business and industry.
