Description
Situated in the Barbican Centre, where it moved in 1977, The Guildhall School of Music and Drama was founded in 1880 and is owned, funded and managed by the Corporation of London - the third largest funder of the Arts in the UK after the Government and the BBC.

The School has developed an international reputation for its unique blend of tradition and innovation, and for the quality and diversity of the opportunities it offers for students preparing for all branches of the music and drama professions. The School is also noted for its collaborations with other leading arts companies both at home and internationally such as the London Symphony Orchestra, National Theatre, Royal Opera House, BBC Symphony Orchestra, as well as music schools across the world.
