Summary

Description
The Television and Radio Industries Club was formed in 1931. It was established in the early days of broadcasting as the ,Radio Industries Club'. The simple founding aim was, "to promote mutual understanding and goodwill amongst those engaged in the audio, visual, communication and allied industries."

Membership today embraces the communication, entertainment, manufacturing, warranty insurance and service sectors from programme makers and broadcasters to radio producers and makers. A wonderful and colourful diversity.

The highlight of the TRIC calendar are the TRIC Awards held every year in March. The first Awards Lunch was held in April 1969, at the Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London, when three awards were presented to Val Doonican, Kenneth Horne and The Forsyte Saga. The Great Room at the Grosvenor House Hotel still plays host to The Awards today, they have always been a star studded occasion where members from the Radio and Television Industries rub shoulders with their favourite celebrities.

TRIC has an unrivalled track record of charitable support and donations over decades. At the core of TRIC is a desire to give generously to those who are less fortunate. We recognise our good fortune, channel our energies and use our influential contacts to benefit good causes.
