Description

DISH Network Corporation is a provider of satellite delivered digital television to customers across the United States. DISH Network services include hundreds of video, audio and data channels, interactive television channels, digital video recording, high definition television, international programming, professional installation and around the clock customer service. As of December 31, 2007, the Company had approximately 13.780 million subscribers. Its satellite fleet enables it to offer over 2,700 video and audio channels to consumers across the United States. On January 1, 2008, the Company completed the Spin-off of its technology and certain infrastructure assets into a separate publicly-traded company, EchoStar Corporation. DISH Network and EchoStar operate as separate publicly-traded companies. In September 2007, Hercules Technology Growth Capital Inc announced that its portfolio company, Sling Media, Inc. has been acquired by the Company.
