Description

Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. owns a general use car rental brand, and equipment rental businesses in the United States and Canada. Its business consists of two segments: car rental and equipment rental. In its car rental business segment, the Company and its independent licensees and associates accept reservations for car rentals at approximately 8,000 locations in approximately 145 countries. It has a network of company-operated rental locations both in the United States and in all European markets. It maintains an airport car rental in the United States and at the 69 major airports in Europe where it has company-operated locations. In its equipment rental business segment, the Company rents equipment through 376 branches in the United States, Canada, France and Spain. In April 2008, the Company acquired the vehicle rental businesses of its franchise partner, Rentex Autopujcovna a.s. in the Czech Republic and of Rentex's subsidiary, Car Solutions s.r.o. in Slovakia.
