Spectrum specializes in reviewing the interaction between new technology and the economy. Spectrum has produced a Global Economic and Information Technology Forecast since 1999. Spectrum's chairman, Richard Carlson, is the author of 2020 Visions, published by the Stanford Alumni Association in 1991, and Fast Forward, published by Harper-Collins in 1994. He was previously Senior Regional Economist at Stanford Research Institute (now SRI International).
