Description

Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc. (Fleetwood) is engaged in producing both recreational vehicles and manufactured housing. The Company also operates three supply companies that provide components for the recreational vehicle and housing operations, while also generating outside sales. During the fiscal year ended April 27, 2008 (fiscal 2008), Fleetwood sold 18,730 recreational vehicles. During fiscal 2008, the Company shipped 12,337 manufactured homes, or HUD-Code homes, which are homes manufactured in accordance with regulations published by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development. Fleetwood conducts its manufacturing activities in 14 states within the United States, and to a much lesser extent in Mexico. The Company distributes its manufactured products primarily through a network of independent dealers throughout the United States and Canada. On May 12, 2008, it completed the sale of the stock and real estate of Fleetwood Folding Trailers, Inc.
