Description
The Santa Clara County Democratic Club has worked continuously since 1980 for values espoused by the Democratic Party: the right of all Americans to a job, a home, an education, to medical care, to privacy, and social security and, of course, a woman's right to choose.
We draw our membership from all over Santa Clara County, but most members live in Santa Clara, San Jose, and Campbell. The Club is an issues based organization involved in:
Electing Democratic Candidates
Educating Voters on Key Issues
Promoting Citizen Involvement
Influencing Democratic Party Policies
And Much More
During election campaigns our members participate in campaigns by organizing and participating in phone banking, fund raising, and precinct walking.
Most members are ordinary Democrats, but the Club is honored to have several local and national office holders as members, including:
Hon. Elaine Alquist, State Senator for District 13
Hon. Sally Lieber, Assemblywoman, for District 22
Meetings
General Meetings are held every third Monday of each month (except one summer month and December) at a local restaurant. Watch our home page for details and locations. Everyone is welcome to join us for dinner at 6 p.m. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. Club meetings feature interesting guest speakers informing us on issues and candidates.
Executive Board Meetings are also open to all members and meet on the last Wednesday of each month.
