Victhom Human Bionics Inc. discovers, develops and manufactures bionic devices involved in the treatment of a range of physical and physiological dysfunctions. The Company’s Neurobionix business unit focuses on the development and commercialization of technologies and products involving implantable devices that feature neurosensing and neurostimulation components, integrated with artificial intelligence. The Biotronix business unit develops biomechatronic products to support or replace peripheral limbs in what is known as the orthotics and prosthetics (O&P) market. During the year ended December 31, 2007, the Company completed the first implantation of its Neurostep, a fully implantable neuromodulation device, in a patient suffering from foot drop secondary to a stroke. Its partner in this area, Ossur, commercially launched the Power Knee worldwide in September 2006.
