2007 was a great year for ZoomInfo. We've grown dramatically – this year we added more than 900 new customers and now have more than 100 employees. We had several major product announcements, starting with the January launch of PowerSearch 2007 with advanced workflow and collaboration features. In April we introduced ZoomInfo.com features to help candidates update their information, and then rolled out daily data updates of our profiles of people and companies so recruiters can access the freshest information possible. Our efforts paid off handsomely - ZoomInfo's 2007 awards included Red Herring Global 100 winner, MRI's Best in Class, Data Sources, and the Inc. 5000 list. I want to thank our customers for spreading the word about ZoomInfo and for continually providing us the feedback we need to improve our products. I look forward to an exciting 2008 and wish you all the best for the holiday season and the New Year.

The 2008 Recruiting Landscape

Tad Goltra and Friends

Late December, the time of the year when we step back from the day-to-day bustle to reconnect with family and friends, and reflect on how far we've come over the past year. And, it's a time to look forward, to consider what the New Year will bring and how companies will face the changing recruiting landscape.

Last year at this time, we noted a continued strong growth in online recruiting, coupled with an outburst of creative sourcing techniques. Companies and associations were launching niche job boards almost daily and recruiters were starting to test the social networking waters. A few recruiters, including ZoomInfo’s own Martin Burns, were beginning to see the potential of  blogging and other “Web 2.0” tools as a means of attracting candidates and building an employment brand.
